A few weeks ago, we took a trip to visit our daughter, son-in-law, and four grandchildren who live out of town. The firstborn, Caeli, had just turned nineteen, and we had a song to sing to her.

On the way, I noticed so many spots of blue. Of course, we saw some blue vehicles, like this truck.

Amongst the blue cars, I spotted this gorgeous, shiny blue motorcycle. Look at that blue sky!

Look! He's even dressed in blue with his blue shirt and blue jeans. LOL (It took me several shots to get this. I'm glad this fellow didn't seem to mind being photographed!)

There were many blue signs.

A visit to the Necessary Room is marked in blue.

Keeping us on track is marked with an important blue sign.

Oh, I hope we don't need this blue place anytime soon!

We saw plenty of places to stop to eat or sleep on blue signs like this one. Of course, we drove right on by. We had a destination in mind.

We bought our gasoline a tad cheaper: $2.63 a gallon. These prices can cause a person to become blue.

Look at this underpass made more beautiful with a blue mural.

Here's the birthday girl, dressed in blue with Johnny and me. There's a bit of blue in my shirt too. It's so wonderful being able to visit our daughter's family more often now that we've moved. We've managed to celebrate most birthdays in the past, but it took over six hours before we moved. Now, we're there in two hours.

Pink Limousine

Our son went to his in-laws for Thanksgiving, and we went to our daughter's. This move to the middle of the state has made visits to her home so possible.

Chugging down I-75, I spotted a Pink Limousine! When I told Johnny, he decided to play detective, and track it down so that I could share it with you. He's a good sleuth because after doubling back about five miles, he found it!

It's located in Gainesville, Florida, where some Pink football fans live.

I was snap, snapping away and a sweet young man named Nick came out of his office and volunteered to open it up. I'd never seen the inside of a limousine before. Notice the Pink napkins.

Here's a shot looking to the front.

And, folks this is a Pink Porsche!

Even the wheel covers are Pink!

It's all ready to take some people to the game today. Who you like a ride in this Pink limousine?

I bought this pair of thankful pilgrims two years ago, and I am grateful that they are not packed away in the warehouse. For some reason, they were in a box I brought into the rental. Therefore, I can enjoy them again this year! They are delightfully colored with soft blues.

I'm thankful for you!

Happy Blue Monday!

Pink Camellia

The builder completed the landscaping of our new home, and look what was planted: a pink camellia. Actually, three were planted. Look closely, and you can see a bloom!

Growing Things!

Things are growing in our yard this week. We drove up just in time to catch this picture of an elm tree being planted. Since "The American Elm grows to over 115 feet tall and can have a diameter in excess of ten feet, " I do hope that this is not an American Elm! It might just be a little too much for my front yard. Is there someone in Blogland who can tell me about an Elm tree that is small enough to be suitable for a front yard?

This is the finished landscape. The tree in the forefront is a Live Oak. I'm still going to get my palm tree in there somewhere, even if I have to take one out!

Here's a shot showing the backyard. Mind you, our yard is NOT this big. This is taken from across the pond. You can see our grass, plants, and tiny tree.

I love my new location! I've discovered that I'm close to several blogging buddies. I recently got to meet one of my favorite bloggers IN PERSON!

I had lunch with Mrs. Magpie (Sheila) of The Quintessential Magpie. We each drove to a restaurant called Mimi's Cafe. I know it's hard to believe, but she's even better in person than she is on her blog.

*****Today is a First for Bloggers as we are both posting today about our lunch.*****

At the front entrance, I spotted this rooster lamp and just knew that I had to share this with Blogland.

Isn't he pretty? He could hold a bit of greenery tucked into the center of his back.

Mimi's Cafe is a charming place, filled with pretties meant to catch the eye.

Someone named "Princess" came in to eat. See the balloon crown?
Did you notice how they made it look as if there was a balcony? Notice all the blues: pictures, signs, tablecloths, clothing, even a United States flag.

So much to see.

Sheila suggested we title this picture, "Two Chicks at Lunch."

Mrs. Magpie came loaded down with gifts for me; just look at these goodies! I felt as if it were my birthday and Christmas all wrapped up into one day. She sure knows how to make a person feel special. Thank you, Sheila. (Whatever made her choose to give me so much blue?)

I love spider mums, and this brilliant yellow is such a good companion to the beautiful blue and white ginger jar. Blue Christmas napkins can be seen in the background. Mrs. Magpie brought them for me to use, "because you'll be in your new home by Christmas." She thought of everything!

Here's a close-up of the pattern on the napkins. Snow for Tampa!

The flowers made it home safe and sound. Look at this gorgeous ginger jar!

Look at this sparkly blue paperweight, with the impression of a flower. It's iridescent. The pencil is blue and white too. All of these items were packed in the little bag with the curling blue ribbon and blue tissue paper. (Sigh, I was in blue Heaven!)

Take a closer look at the stamp. It has a bit of blue in it. Mr. Magpie made it himself! It's a real U. S. postage stamp! Isn't he creative? It says, "Santa is coming. Have you been a good magpie?"

I tell you, I am still overwhelmed.

You ask, "What exactly does a magpie look like?" Here, I'll show you.

Happy Blue Monday!
